Celebrating the Spirit of Giving

Each year, we partner with a local nonprofit organization to host our annual Spirit of Giving celebratration. It's a unique event not to be missed! Partnering with organizations like 2012's Alhambra Theatre provides an excellent opportunity for people to see first-hand the good work our nonprofit organizations are doing in our community. One of the highlights of the celebration is presentation of Spirit of Giving awards:

Awarded to Virginia Schroeder (pictured with Cindy Fine) to recognize her significant contributions to the arts community in Vanderburgh County, her direct impact on cultural development, her excitement for the arts, and her exemplification of the personal qualities that made Isabella Fine so special.

Downtown Historic Preservation Award
Awarded to the Evansville Bar Association to recognize their restoration and naming of the Chief Justice Randall T. Shepard Courtroom at the old Vanderburgh County Courthouse, an important connection of historic preservation to the success of the Arts District in Evansville.

Celebration of Youth Arts Award
Awarded to Patchwork Central  to recognize their efforts to promote the arts among young people through the Arts and Smarts Program.

Rachael Goldman, president of the Alhambra Theater's board of directors, was surprised at the Spirit of Giving luncheon with a special grant from the Foundation to support renovation of the Alhambra Theater.
