Now you have the knowledge, expertise, and due diligence of a grants committee at your disposal.  Field-of-Interest Funds give you a simple way to support a specific area of interest without identifying a specific organization.  Now you can make a gift that will help create the change YOU want to see in our community.

• Make a tax-deductible gift in any amount to support the causes you care about most.
• The VCF grants committee will review funding requests and fully vet the organizations in your area of interest.
• You are assured your that your gift will be put to the best use to support your area of interest for our community.

Here is how it works.  Choose any of the following areas of interest:

Arts and Culture in Vanderburgh County Support programs that strengthen the presence of the arts in Vanderburgh County, make the arts more accessible for everyone, enhance the understanding of all types of arts and humanities, and promote the appreciation and understanding of the arts.

Education in Vanderburgh County  Support educational institutions and organizations that promote learning and advancement of education in Vanderburgh County, including programs that improve the educational opportunities for children and adults both in and out of the classroom, that support libraries and organizations whose primary purpose is to provide opportunities for supplementing and continuing education and that provide education-related services to students and schools.

Health, Human Services, and Community Development in Vanderburgh County Support programs that promote community improvement, rehabilitative health services, and maximize the functioning of special needs population.  This includes advocating volunteerism and philanthropy, increasing economic strength, promoting healthy neighborhoods, crisis intervention, improving public safety, and strengthening community centers.

Your gift to one or more of the new field-of-interest funds will combine with other generous donations to provide funding within the next year to support programs that will benefit the cause the you choose, and also ensure that those programs will be supported forever.  And, best of all, an anonymous donor has committed to matching all gifts made to these funds - DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR - up to $25,000 total.  That means when you support your personal area of interest, your contribution will be doubled!

You may specify whether you want your gift to be granted out within the next year to support the area you have selected or to support a permanent endowment that will forever benefit your specified interest.   If you do not specify, the contribution will automatically be credited equally to the permanent and nonpermanent funds.
